Hindu festival of RAMANAVMI and facts about it...


The first day (EKAM / PADAVA) of sukla paksha of Chaitra month (March / April) of Hindu calendar is the starting of Hindu calendar new year. 
On the ninth day (NAVMI) of this month Lord RAMA was born . According to the Hindu religious texts in satyuga on this day Lord RAMA was born to Queen kaushalya wife of Ayodhya (Presently in Uttar Pradesh of India) king Dashrath . According to The Hindu religious texts Lord RAMA was the incarnation (AVTAR) of Lord VISHNU in SATYUGA (a particular era) to destroy evil powers and protect truth and religious persons. 

      

 The Lord RAMA is regarded as a virtuous person for his sacrifices for others well being and truthfulness(also known as purushottam RAMA ). Lord RAMA killed the demon RAWANA and freed the humanity from devil's cruelties .
So the birthday of Lord RAMA on this day is the sign of arrival of GOD to destroy evil and protect truth and DHARMA(VIRTUE) on the earth .
this day is celebrated all over the world with enthusiasm and devotion.

शबरी श्री राम की परम भक्त थी जिन्होंने उन्हें झूठे बैर खिलाये थे, शबरी का असली नाम “श्रमणा” था, वह भील सामुदाय के शबर जाति से सम्बन्ध रखती थीं इसी कारण कालांतर में उनका नाम शबरी पड़ा । उनके पिता भीलों के मुखिया थे, श्रमणा उनका विवाह एक भील कुमार से तय हुआ था, विवाह से पहले कई सौ पशु बलि के लिए लाये गए जिन्हें देख श्रम बड़ी आहत हुई. यह कैसी परंपरा जिसके बेजुबान और निर्दोष जानवरो की हत्या की जाएगी इस कारण शबरी विवाह से 1 दिवस पूर्व भाग गई और दंडकारण्य वन में पहुंच गई। दंडकारण्य में मातंग ऋषि तपस्या किया करते थे, श्रमणा उनकी सेवा तो करना चाहती थी पर वह भील जाति की होने के कारण उसे अवसर ना मिलाने का अंदेशा था। फिर भी शाबर सुबह-सुबह ऋषियों के उठने से पहले उनके आश्रम से नदी तक का रास्ता साफ़ कर देती थीं, कांटे चुनकर रास्ते में साफ बालू बिछा देती थी। यह सब वे ऐसे करती थीं कि किसी को इसका पता नहीं चलता था। 1 दिवस ऋषिश्रेष्ठ को शबरी दिख गई और उनके सेवा से अति प्रसन्न हो गए और उन्होंने शबरी को अपने आश्रम में शरण दे दी। जब मतंग का अंत समय आया तो उन्होंने शबरी से कहा कि वे अपने ...

Maharshi  Agastya was the great sage , scholar of Vedic period of Hinduism.  He also written some part of rig Veda along with his wife. Kalidas; A great poet

kalidasa a intro : Kālidās was a Classical Sanskrit writer, widely  considered   the best  poet and dramatist  within the  Sanskrit language of India. His plays and poetry are  based  on the Vedas, the Ramayana, the Mahabharata  and therefore the  Puranas.  His surviving works  carries with it  three plays, two epic poems and two shorter poems.
